WHO AM I?
I’m TakaTaka from Malaysia. I have been traveling a lot throughout the country since I was a child. That’s because I have an awesome dad who travels a lot too, dad always brought me travel to beaches, forest and remote towns within the country. In time I have learned the arts of traveling. As I grow up, dad has nurtured me to be a traveller and I love traveling.
WHEN WAS MY FIRST TRAVEL?
I didn’t mean my first time travel in my life. In fact, it was my first time travel as a grown man! (The first time without my dad!) Right after college and internship, I backpacked alone to Bali in 2013 and I have been welcome to the world of solo backpacking. I have learned a lot as a backpacker in terms of traveling style, budget, planning, advices, thoughts, personality and in life.
WHEN WAS THE BIGGEST TRAVEL OF MY LIFE? (SO FAR)
After I came back from Bali, I started working full time. I am a musician and a music instructor and I love my job. However, there was an insane calling to travel and the desire to travel breakout once again. In 2014, I quit my jobs and bought a one-way ticket (like most people do) to Mexico.
I traveled well in Mexico and go all the way south through central america and south america. In time, this biggest travel has shaped me into another person and I’ve found myself more. I came home in January 2015. That was the biggest travel of my life so far, I know I will have another breakout soon!
WHAT DO I DO NOW?
After I came home I continue to play music and teaching music. But I still travel often, whenever I have free time I will set myself out somewhere and continue the life of traveling.
I started this blog in 2015, it is divided into two parts, the first one where to guide you in planning your trip itinerary, advices for visiting each country that I traveled.
The second part is a list of my travel adventures and stories along the way. (more to come!)
WHY IS IT CALLED TAKA TAKA?
According to Mexican, that is how they call an asian. During my travel in Mexico, people would call me chinito, asiatico or takataka. That is how the name of this blog given.
